About me
Hi, I’m Karena, and I lovingly make baskets, caves, toys, accessories and home décor for you and your furry friends. I’ve always made lots of things for my own animals. This really took off when I started offering mobile pet care and began studying animal psychology. I started making more cat toys while volunteering at an animal shelter. Since I also had felt wool/raw wool roving on hand, I decided to try making something basket-like. That led to me offering my baskets for sale for the first time, followed soon after by some more adventurous cave designs, such as my Oriental Cave (no longer available). The toys, and later the baskets and caves, were already available on my mobile pet care website. I also sold them through various flea market groups and quickly realised there was a lot of interest. So I opened my Etsy shop, and later, in December 2019, this shop. I hope you and your furry little friends love my creations.
Each item may look slightly different, so every one is truly unique.
My two diligent testers, Oskar and Anton (my two cats), inspect everything very carefully. And that’s not all—they’re always claiming new baskets and caves without asking, even when they’re meant to be for sale. If you follow me on Instagram (petlovede), you’ve probably already seen that :))
You’ll also find my cat behaviour consulting services here. I successfully completed my animal psychology training in early 2019. It covered cats, dogs and horses equally, as well as keeping small pets (hamsters, rats, mice, chinchillas and degus). However, I don’t have horses or dogs of my own (though I cared for horses and dogs for years), and I also kept guinea pigs for 20 years. At the moment, though, I only offer cat behaviour consultations. You’ll find more information under the “Animal Psychology” menu item.
And now, I hope you enjoy browsing.
Warm wishes, Karena
